Flight Training Information

Requirements?

  • 17 years and over.
  • Minimum of 3 ‘O’ Levels for commercial training.
    ( N.B. Employment requirements hereafter may vary by employer)
  • For Commercial Training, student must have a current Private Pilots License (PPL).
    .i.e. must have flown in the past 90 days.

How do I obtain a Student Pilot's License (SPL)?

The SPL is issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, the following is needed:

  • 4 passport size pictures
  • A medical report done by an approved doctor (see below)
  • National ID ( Passport or ID card)
  • Acceptance Letter from Briko Air Services Ltd
  • Medical examination conducted by an approved doctor

For Private License Only.

Specifics

  1. For PPL training with an average of four (4) hours flight training per week, the license can be acquired in a 3-5 month period. Flight training of less than 4 hours per week can take as long as 1 year.
  2. From PPL straight through to CPL, the license can be acquired in a 8-10 month period.
  3. The CPL can be a obtained in a 4-6 month period.
  4. Registration can be done at anytime. Down payment must be made upon registration.

What are the Requirements for an Airport Authority Security Pass?

For Local Students – Temporary Security ID Pass And Vehicle Pass

  • Airport Authority Application Form (forms can be obtain at Briko Offices)
  • 2 ID size pictures
  • Copy of Receipt for Certificate of Good Character
  • Letter from Briko for Security ID / Vehicle Pass
  • Copy of Vehicle Insurance
  • Copy of Student Pilot License or Commercial Pilot License
  • Airports Authority Security Awareness Course

 

For Permanent Security ID and Vehicle Pass

  • All of the above except Certificate of Good Character to replace Receipt
  • Back Ground Check to be included

 

For Foreign Students

  • Airport Authority Application Form (forms can be obtain at Briko Offices)
  • 2 ID size pictures
  • Certificate of Good Character from Home Country
  • Letter from Briko for Security Pass
  • Copy of Passport – Picture Page and Date of Entry Page
  • Copy of Student Pilot License
  • Copy of Student Permit or Student Visa
  • If applying for Vehicle Pass, copy of insurance to be included
